How I work within your agency
I can work as a white-label member of your delivery team or be introduced openly as an external .NET and Umbraco specialist. The model depends on how you structure the project and client relationship. In either case, I work through your agency, follow your communication lines and respect your commercial boundaries.
In practice, I work as part of the delivery team. I can join planning, stand-ups and reviews, collaborate directly with project managers, designers and developers, and communicate with the client when you want me to. I work autonomously, but I do not disappear into a workstream and return weeks later with surprises.
I work within your repositories, tooling and delivery process.
I can operate white-label or as an openly introduced specialist.
I take ownership of agreed work while surfacing risks and dependencies early.
I document technical decisions, implementation details and handovers where they matter.
Your agency retains the client relationship and overall project direction.
I do not use subcontracting engagements to market around the agency.

Every engagement is different. I can take responsibility for a defined workstream or bring specialist depth to a broader project—from technical discovery and architecture through implementation, release and handover. Typical areas include:

Proven in agency delivery
Agency partnerships often happen behind the scenes, so the agency name is not always public. Across these engagements, I have worked as a fully embedded team member, an openly introduced specialist and an on-demand technical partner.
Embedded agency delivery, 2024–2025
Joined a digital agency at 100% capacity for almost a year, operating as an integrated member of its delivery team rather than as an external freelancer. I worked remotely day to day, spent approximately three weeks on-site with the team and followed the same processes, responsibilities and expectations as its permanent developers.
The engagement covered ongoing client delivery across Umbraco 13, 15 and 16, including backend development, frontend implementation, reusable components and continued platform development.
Umbraco specialist on a Diageo project
I was brought in through an agency as an openly introduced Umbraco specialist when the project required deeper CMS experience. I worked alongside the wider delivery team to configure the Umbraco solution around the project’s technical and editorial requirements.
On-demand C# and Umbraco support
I shared an office with a digital agency and became the developer they brought into client projects when custom C# or Umbraco expertise was required. The arrangement gave the agency very convenient access to specialist technical capacity when they required it.

Embedded capacity
I join your delivery team at part- or full-time capacity, working within the same processes, tooling and expectations as your permanent team members. The engagement is open-ended and continues for as long as the capacity is needed, typically with one month’s notice on either side.
This gives your agency stable senior capacity without committing to permanent headcount or having to predict an exact end date upfront.
Defined workstream
I take ownership of a clearly scoped piece of delivery—such as an Umbraco upgrade, integration, technical discovery or performance remediation—and carry it from planning through release and handover.
This works well when you need specialist depth for a specific outcome without adding another developer across the wider project.
Retainer
I reserve an agreed amount of capacity each month for agencies that need recurring Umbraco and .NET support without a full-time engagement.
The time can be used for planned improvements, technical reviews, troubleshooting or smaller workstreams, giving your team dependable access to specialist expertise when required.
Pricing depends on scope, duration and risk — I’ll quote based on the specifics of the engagement once we’ve talked it through.
